Loaded weekend...and the aftermath

PHMC held its annual retreat this past weekend. I'd been looking forward to it for months, and did not come away disappointed. As arranged, I picked up Chuck on my way out of town, and arrived shortly after 5pm. We were among the first to arrive. The house in which we were lodged is what would've been an early-twentieth century resort cottage

I responded to his blog too ... I concur with what you say and said as much yesterday when I responded. He's a great guy; he loved his Aunt, but being there for her death would not have changed the outcome. I am sending positive vibes his way. Ted's a dear, dear man.

Great to hear the retreat was a success, musically and otherwise (the last time I bowled I won the title of "Mr Gutterball").

Of course you and Neil are right, though I understand the effect of such a loss on our friend. Remembrance and devotion should be allowed to have space ... but guilt only plays a needlessly destructive role. Go help Ted find a way to release it.
