I'm not quite sure what you mean by "browser bar menu", but here's a screenshot of Safari 3.0.3 and the Firefox 3 beta on my system (10.4):

Oh, and:

SafariBlock is AdBlock for Safari.
Creammonkey is Greasemonkey for Safari.

They might not work under Leopard.

Am I being an idiot and overlooking an updated Creammonkey for download? The updated GreaseKit is just fine with Leopard, by the way.

Same thing. They changed the name at some point, from Creammonkey to GreaseKit, and I'm just used to calling it by the older name.

I hear that http://www.zotero.org/ is another good reason for using Firefox, but despite its utility I'm still mostly relying on my old-school, hierarchical bookmarks.

Ooh ooh! User CSS!

I think the standard OSX system font is Lucida Grande. I don't know what size is pictured in that Safari screen grab, though.

Does the Mac port use userChrome.css?

Never mind, yes it does! http://lifehacker.com/software/firefox/customize-firefox-with-userchromecss-197715.php

Make your very own userChrome.css in ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/[profile-name]/chrome/

If you feel like messing a bit with your Firefox settings, you can change some things to make the size of the list as comparable as possible to your Safari's list. View --> Toolbars --> Customize will get you most of the way there. (Or, simply right click in the primary File/Edit/View/etc toolbar and go to Customize.) Font may be a trickier proposition, I'm afraid. I'm not sure which area controls that, and I've been satisfied with the way it is.
