My userinfo page says I'm a friend of yours, but I can't say I have any idea who this journal belongs to. I'm always up for making new friends, just at loss at the moment. Care to help me out?

I'm not entirely sure where I first saw your LJ. I probably saw a comment of yours on some other journal and decided to check it out. If this bothers you, I will remove you from my friends list.

FWIW, I hate that LJ calls this feature "friends lists". For me, it has very little to do with friends, and is simply a list of journals I enjoy keeping up with.

It's no bother, I'm always up for finding more interesting people to learn from. We can accept the title "LJ Friends" for lack of a better term :)
