I have a mic; let me investigate the software. I have a feeling the husband already has this stuff set up for online gaming. If so, I might give it a try. I've taught online distance-ed classes before, and I enjoyed those. Maybe I would enjoy this as well.

Sure! If you can record yourself speaking, that's 60% of it. The catch is that you want to be able to record yourself, and the person you're speaking with, ideally on separate tracks for later editing.
