Ueda sighed.
He had arrived at the jimusho not more than 10 minutes ago, yet he had lost count of how many times he had sighed.
This guy... This certain guy named Nishikido Ryo sure had some nerve. Not only had he spilled his drink on Ueda's bag, which might be purely accidental but when it comes to Nishikido, it must be done on purpose, he also managed to make Ueda lose his complaining words completely. At the end, Ueda jumped into the conclusion that he hated Nishikido, his natural enemy maybe from birth.
Being a part of the secret group, it shouldn't be hard for Ueda to take advantage of any kind of situation. He had the brain and the natural ability existed. Ueda had never failed, except with Ryo. It was annoying, yet no matter how hard he tried, he wasn't able to. It was as if he lost his own control whenever he had anything to do with Ryo. Annoying. Luckily, Tegoshi was usually there to finish the matter, so it wasn't actually a total defeat. But then, his unlucky moment finally came.
Ueda was glaring at Ryo. His cheeks flushed due to embarrassment and anger as he chewed on his lower lip. He took a short peek on his bag, which was now lying on the floor, wet, before he returned his glare to the younger man.
"What? Is that all? Too bad. I thought you were better than this." Nishikido said in a sarcastic tone. His eyes were beaming as he held the cup. Torturing Ueda was one of the sources of entertainment he had between his hectic schedule. He might have been the one at fault, but never mind. His pride wouldn't let him lose to Ueda anyway. And that was exactly why he kept on sending sarcasm attacks one by one while simply watching Ueda's annoyed expression. He had won...
"Oh my. Speechless, eh? Just bring it to the laundry or something. I'll arrange the payment." Ryo threw another sarcastic comment with a wide smirk plastered on his face.
Ueda, at a loss of words, could only send his deadliest glare, although it didn't seem to affect Ryo that much. Pathetic. That thought had reached his mind even if it was only for a short span of time. No, he was not that pathetic. He would get the revenge, for sure. But what could he do in this kind of situation when he was not able to use his mind properly? Tegoshi was not there like he used to. No, he shouldn't keep depending on Tegoshi. So what should he do now?
"Oh my, you really are so prissy, eh. Should I recall who was angry over some small accident?" Ryo continued. Indeed, it was fun to win, but it was not that interesting when Ueda was emotionless. "Ah... Don't say... You are actually having an undying love for me? Now that explains everything."
"Y-You!!" Ueda's face got even redder than before. Eh, blush? It was...strange.
"Hmm.. What is it with me? You want to confess?" the same annoying smirk appeared again, or rather looked even more annoying if it was possible.
"Ah, Nishikido - kun, Ueda - kun. Ohayou!" Three small boys were seen approaching them. Saved by the nick of time? Maybe yes, maybe no.
"Oh, Chinen, Yuto, Yamada. What are you doing here?" Ryo asked. His attention was now turned to the three small boys who reminded him of his cute small self in the past.
"Nothing, Nishikido - kun. Have just arrived." Chinen answered with that wide bright smile of his. "Ah, Ueda - kun. Are you alright? I think we met Tanaka - kun looking for Ueda - kun and Nakamaru - kun."
"Nothing is wrong, Chinen. I guess, I'll just go, now." Ueda, having regained his composure again, replied with a smile and walked away, ignoring Ryo completely. Saved, eh?

The bright sun started to return to its hiding. When everyone realized, it was already evening. Most activities have ended and people started returning home, hoping to have a satisfying rest at home to regain their energy back before returning to work.
That was not an exception for the jimusho. Well of course for some idols, they still had to stay and continue on another job. Fortunately, it was not like that for NEWS.
Tegoshi walked in small steps through the hall. He was humming some random tune while walking excitedly. The meeting would be held, soon and he couldn't wait for it at all. After all, the meeting was the only time he was able to act as his real self.
The walk continued until Tegoshi saw an 'ARASHI' tag hanging on the door. A wide smile suddenly appeared as he opened the door carefully.
"Hello~" he greeted. Tegoshi quickly scanned around the room only to find that there were only two guys other than him there. Even the owner of the room hadn't arrived yet. Strange...
"Yo, Tegoshi!"
"Ah, Yokoyama. Where are the rest?" Tegoshi asked.
"Ueda.. I don't know. He's probably stuck somewhere, most likely having some silly fight with our self proclaimed sexy osaka man." Yoko shortly replied. "And hey, it's Yokoyama - KUN. You are rude, to someone much older than you. And you call our leader with honorific, why aren't you doing that to me too? He's not even older than me."
"Well, you're not like one. You would have been the leader if only you act like your real age, Yoko - chan~" Tegoshi added playfully. "Eh, with Ryo - tan? Why don't I feel strange about this information at all..."
"Y-You!" Yoko sulked.
A small laugh was heard as the two guys couldn't help but to turn their attention back. "No no.. Ueda - kun has already had the small fight early this morning. He was cornered though."
"Eh, so you came as the rescuer eh, Chinen? It's usually me though." Tegoshi giggled.
Yoko and Chinen...
Yoko... Being bouncy and loud was his nature. Accepted in this jimusho was the thing that inspired him to become a real idol. But, he didn't have much chance to show himself that much since he came from Kansai, and since a guy called Takizawa Hideaki existed. No matter how hard he tried, he could only be in the shadow, not under the spotlight.
But he was popular as time passed. Yet, it didn't satisfy him that much though. His debut came at last. Nothing should have made him happier other than this, or so he thought. At the end he knew that he actually sought for more. Fame was not the real thing, he needed something else.
And there, meeting the three guys was his chance. Being a part of the group was the thing he could consider satisfying.
Being the youngest member of the group didn't really mean that Chinen was nobody. Chinen was someone you could consider lucky. He was born in a family with acrobatic ability. The natural ability existed inside him so it wasn't really that strange that he was accepted in the jimusho.
Slowly but sure, he climbed his steps to the top. It wasn't really that surprising for him to hear the news of his debut, really. From a fanboy to an idol himself. Nothing surprised him at all, nothing was challenging enough.
But then he was introduced to this group. Interesting. It was quite natural in his blood but he finally felt surprised and so decided to join in the fun. That was the first time Chinen felt surprised at anything, yet he felt comfortable with it.
"Hmm.. Not really rescuing. I just happened to be there, and lied a bit. Although it turned out that my lie was a truth. Ah, it's funny how Yamada and Yuto didn't realize my lie at all. I mean, I was with them the entire time and we hadn't met Tanaka - kun an all." Chinen replied with a small laugh.
"Having fun?" Ueda suddenly appeared. "Talking about me, eh?"
"Well, you've gotten too soft, Tat - chan..." Yokoyama said in a playful tone. "With Ryo - chan only, though. What, you're have a thing for him?"
"Not that nick in front of me, please... And no, I have nothing to do with Nishikido." although he denied it, a shade of pink appeared on his face. "Anyway, who's not here yet?"
"Just...leader?" Tegoshi replied in an unsure tone.
"I was here... The whole time..." a voice was suddenly heard.
"Ohno. I didn't even realize that you were here." Yoko said, trying to hide his recklessness for not noticing the leader's existence.
And with Ohno, the group was finally completed.
E/N: I know that I'm such a fail updater. And this is...short. I know. But that's all for this chapter. The remained members of the group were revealed at last, I guess? Anyone guessed it right before?
1 other thing, for anyone reading my 'Masterpiece' multichapter, I expect to post it sometime next week. I've finished it, and the next chapter is hella long, super long, so it'll take quite a time for being beta-ed.. D:
