Summary: From dreams goes to reality. 21 years old Tegoshi Yuya had never thought that the encounter with his other behalf would be through his dream.
Notes: A belated birthday fic for my friend...^^
Do you believe in meeting through dreams?
Everything around him was green.
That was the first impression Tegoshi Yuya had as he scanned around where he stood.
Where was this? He didn't know. How did he able to arrive here? He didn't know. The last thing he remembered was when he went to his bed and closed both of his eyes, seeking the way to the dream land.
Right, dream. Tegoshi had just realized that he was so stupid for not being able to recognize it instantly. He should have noticed it when he saw a grand castle stood firmly. Wait, castle? This was so ridiculous, so like...fairytale. Great.
Now, judging from his surrounding, he should be in the garden, right?
Sighing, Tegoshi walked through the-supposedly-castle's back yard. Even if it was just a dream, it seemed so...real. But of course, he might only consider it as real when he was dreaming, not when he woke up. But then, why should he bother about it that much? Simply enjoying it was enough, right?
From a distance, he caught the sight of a guy wearing some normal clothes. Now wait a minute. Tegoshi immediately checked his clothes, only to find that he was wearing some normal clothes too. This dream was weird. If it was a dream, he should have worn some prince-like clothes, or suits, or whatever which could go along with the setting well, not some normal clothes he usually wears.
"Ano..." Tegoshi said as he approached the other guy. "May I know where this is?"
The other guy turned his head and raised his eyebrow while staring at Tegoshi. "I don't know myself." He shook his head.
Only when Tegoshi could see his face clearly that he realized that the other guy was...above average. What he meant here was of course, his appearance. Tall, good looking, looked mature. What more? Well, since this was just a dream, Tegoshi could just do whatever he wished, right?
"I see... Then how did you able to arrive here?"
"I closed my eyes, and when I opened it, I was here."
Coincidence? Must be a joke, right?
When Tegoshi realized it, they had been talking about some random topics until everything suddenly disappeared...

"For God's sake, Tegoshi. How many times have you told me that story? I'm sick of it already."
"Well, just say that you are actually jealous of me, Shige." Tegoshi replied in a teasing tone.
21 years old Tegoshi Yuya was just a normal guy, well maybe above normal for his appearances. Easygoing and friendly, not to mention his feminine posture. That all could make him above normal.
But what made him so different from others was the fact that he didn't know what love really is even though he had been this old. Crush? He had never experienced anything like that. Dreams? Well he dreamt a lot, and he used to take his dreams only as some kind of games. But it was not like that this time. Strangely, he believed that this dream was different. For some reason, the guy he met seemed so...real, until the extent that he couldn't believe it was simply his imagination.
"Why should I? Only for some silly dream? Stop joking around with me, Tegoshi." Shige retorted. "And Massu! Stop eating those bread crumbles. Just buy the whole bread if you like eating that much!" their other friend who Shige called as Massu suddenly stopped eating and sulked, still looking at his plate as if they were going to be parted forever.
"You are so bad to me, Shige!" Tegoshi pouted.
Shige couldn't help to feel a bit guilty when Tegoshi suddenly stared at him with those puppy eyes. It was hard to resist that. "Alright, alright. Whatever. Just stop telling me that story. You'd just gotten that dreams 2 days ago, yet you've told this story for more than 10 times already. With whom? Yamapi. Whatever. That's just a dream, Tegoshi. And that name… it’s ridiculous."
Tegoshi sulked when he heard Shige's remark. True, it was a dream. But, but... The talk was so nice. Tegoshi had never known that he would take an interest to a man this much. Yamapi... That was the nick he asked Tegoshi to call him with. But then, it was just a dream, just like what Shige had said.
Will I be able to meet him again?
####
Tegoshi found himself on a strange place...again. No, no more castle or whatever. This time he was on a...ship?
Dream, definitely.
Tegoshi rubbed his eyes a few times when he looked through the small window. Right, he could clearly see the sea. Great.
If only this ship was a grand one, or at least good one, Tegoshi would definitely enjoy being here so much, or even squealing at some point. But then, the ship was so...dirty. Some things were scattered randomly and there were dusts everywhere. Definitely disgusting.
But of course, he was reminded of something. This was a strange dream, right? So there was a high chance that he would be able to meet Yamapi again. A wide grin appeared in Tegoshi's mouth as he thought about that. But it disappeared quickly as it was almost impossible.
...or so what he thought when suddenly he heard the familiar voice again.
"Tegonyan!"
Yes, Tegonyan. Tegoshi didn't know why he told Yamapi to call him with that. Right, they were quite secretive to each other. Tegoshi knew that Yamapi wasn't his real name for some reason.
But hey, was that Yamapi's voice?
"Yamapi!" Tegoshi beamed. He was so happy, strangely.
"Owh, wait... You're a...guy?" Yamapi said while eyeing Tegoshi's chest. Indeed, the clothes Tegoshi was currently wearing were rather opened compared to the last time.
"Of course, I am. Wait, don't say that you thought I'm a girl?"
"Ups, sorry. You look like one, and your voice is so high-pitched."
"Yamapi!!"

Nothing could be confirmed just from the first dream. It was just a dream. That was what Shige said when he told Shige about his first dream with this Yamapi. But then, there was the second dream. It didn't stop just there. Instead the dream came over and over, and when Tegoshi realized it, he had grown used to this dream. He sometimes even mixed the dream and the reality. The scenes were changing every time he dreamt, but one thing was still the same, there were Yamapi and him, him and Yamapi. Even Shige couldn't say much about it, although he tried hard to refuse it. But the fact said differently, Tegoshi's dreams were definitely something.
"So, where are you this time?" Shige questioned, sitting leisurely in a chair while taking a sip of his drink.
"On a candy land."
"Alright... From all of your previous dreams, this is the most ridiculous one. I thought the castle thing was ridiculous enough, but it was nothing compared to this." Shige retorted.
"You're so evil, Shige. I'm telling you the truth. Ah, Yamapi was so kind. Really. He helped me picking some candies, and we ate it together. Ah~" Tegosi remarked. Without him realizing it, his eyes were gleaming happily. Shige sighed as he saw that.
"You like him?"
"N-No. What are you talking about, Shige." Tegoshi laughed nervously.
"Great, then." Shige replied shortly, taking a long sip of his drink.
"Why, Shige?" there was a hint of disappointment in his tone.
"You'd better not. After all, no matter how strange it is, Yamapi is just a guy from your dreams, right?"
Tegoshi was silenced as he heard that. Indeed, Shige had a point there. He had met Yamapi, through his dreams, many times, yet he knew nothing. Well, in each meeting he always got a new piece of information, but then it didn't really indicate who Yamapi really is. Was he for real?
Tegoshi knew well that at some point, he had to ask it to Yamapi. But then, he didn't want to get a disappointing answer. Rather than being hurt, Tegoshi chose to remain silent. But then, what Shige said bothered him again.
"Just think about it yourself, Tegoshi. It's for your own good."
####
It was rather different this time. The place was...normal. Tegoshi was simply standing on a hill.
As usual, it didn't take long until Yamapi made his appearance. Tegoshi gave a small smile when he saw Yamapi.
The thought bothered him again. Tegoshi took a quick peek on Yamapi before turning away. Should he ask it?
"What's wrong, Tegonyan?"
"N-Nothing..." Tegoshi murmured. "Say, Pi... Where are you living at?"
Yamapi didn't give any reply. Tegoshi didn't know why but he was so afraid by it. As if...as if he was rejected.
"It's none of your business." Yamapi suddenly said in a cold tone, which surprised Tegoshi a lot. Yamapi had never said anything this harsh. He was a caring person.
"Ah, I-I'm sorry, Tegoshi. I was having such a mess today. S-Sorry. I didn't mean that."
But no matter how much Yamapi asked for forgiveness, and matter how Tegoshi said that he forgave Yamapi, Tegoshi couldn't deny that his heart was shattered into pieces as he heart that.
The dream ended fast, way faster than how it used to be, although Tegoshi still remained asleep.

Tegoshi sighed for the nth time.
He was on a cafe, claiming the table on the back corner of that place.
It had been a while since he had those strange dreams. In fact, he had never had any dream anymore since the time he was disappointed. Tegoshi didn't know that he was too used to those dreams until he couldn't help to miss it so much when none came anymore.
Since that day... If only he didn't say anything... But Tegoshi was still clever enough to understand that he couldn't return back the time. It had happened and there's nothing Tegoshi could do to fix it. After all, it was a dream, right?
Tegoshi tried to push that thought into his mind. Why should he be mourning over some strange dreams? But then, it was proven that he was still remembering it no matter what.
Sighing, Tegoshi slurped his juice. Shige was such a good friend. He was worried over Tegoshi so much, especially when Tegoshi's cheerful self just seemed to disappear to the air immediately. You need a distraction -- Shige said. That might be the truth but Tegoshi didn't know what he could do for that.
But then, Shige came again, asking for Tegoshi's help. Meeting who? Tegoshi didn't remember the name but Tegoshi needed to replace Shige for this work. Tegoshi knew that Shige only asked him to do that to distract his mind over the mourning. A weak smile appeared when Tegoshi thought about that while making a mental note to thank Shige more later.
"I'm sorry that I'm late." a rather familiar voice was heard, although Tegoshi couldn't recall where he had heard that voice.
Slowly, Tegoshi moved his body to see how the other looked like. His eyes were suddenly widened when he finally saw it clearly.
"Yamapi!" "Tegonyan!"
Both of them laughed together. Yamapi immediately claimed his seat and placed his order after they had stopped laughing. Silence overwhelmed them instead now.
"So, you're Tegoshi Yuya? Now Tegonyan makes sense for me." Yamapi tried to open the conversation. Tegoshi remained silent although Yamapi had said something.
"You know... I'm sorry, really. It was so crappy that day. A fight with my girlfriend, well not she’s my ex-grilfriend." Yamapi added in a sad tone. "...and... I miss you."
Tegoshi tilted his head as he heard that. Was he hearing it right? Sighing, he opened his mouth at last. “You’re thinking of me as the replacement?” another sigh was released, "But, so do I..." he murmured. "...What are we, anyway?"
"I don't know... But I do know that I like you. We were…fighting over my dream. Fighting over how I cared about this Tegonyan more than here. Is that making any sense?" Yamapi replied with a smile. "And this day is too nice to be spent just on some boring works."
"Our story is too ridiculous, Pi. People would laugh over it." Tegoshi said, before a wide smile appeared in his face. "But I like you too..."
Yamapi showed a sweet smile as he heard Tegoshi’s reply. Seeing that sweet lady-killer smile, Tegoshi had to press his excitement beam (although he was not a lady for God’s sake). “Nee, nee.. Do you know why we aren’t able to meet again on our dream?”
That left Yamapi thinking for a while with a serious look. The seriousness disappeared fast though, as it was being replaced with a sweet smile again. “Who cares? We can meet here, in reality anyway.”
Tegoshi could only smile hearing that as he closed his eyes for a moment.
Do you believe in meeting through dreams?
I believe in it...
E/N: Honestly, I don’t really find this fic good, or rather, I feel like something is strange but no matter how many times I re-read this, I still couldn’t find it. Perhaps because it’s my first time writing something like this. I mean the type, writing style, and others. Just different. But since this is for my friend’s belated birthday fic and I love the plot (meeting through dreams, etc), I still post it.
So please, if you find anything strange with this, do tell me so I can improve myself better.
Thanks for reading and comments are ♥
