JK Rowling's attempt to insist Remus and Sirius were not so OTP actually was... very heavy-handed. I mean, ten out of ten for eventually outing Dumbledore, but minus several million for (a) not putting it in the book directly and (b) not using the relationship that was already practically there. Additionally, her Babies Make Everything Better and Everyone Marries Their High School Sweetheart things.
In terms of more visual media, finding out Stephen Sondheim has mommy issues explains a LOT about some of his plays. It also makes me want to see what he would have done with Mary Poppins, if he'd ever finished it. Also: DEAR JOSS WHEDON, IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR A VAGUELY HAPPY ENDING. JUST ONCE. It doesn't have to be all easy answers, but... ARGH. Love, someone who is very, very frustrated by the end of Dr. Horrible.
