Hello Joel
I am sure you will have a blast in New York. I was there once and had a great time. I was able to do some homeless ministry and attend the Brookelyn Tab. Those are some experiences I will never forget.

I like how you dated this post 2010.

Hello Joel, I found your journal through an lj search for Guadeloupe. I'm headed there in two months, and would really like to find somebody's journal about the place. Have you been there? I'm dying for first hand info here :)

Jackpot!! I hit on the right journal!! I'm going to be doing the very same thing on Guadeloupe: I'll be an english assistant at Droits de L'Homme, a secondary school in Petit-Bourg. They told me that I can live on campus in one of the dorms--I just hope I'll be a *little* isolated from the high school students.. I know how wild undergrads can be! ;) A girl named Katrina was working at my school last year--maybe you knew her. She warned me about the men, too... eeeek. I may have to give up the habit of wearing shorts in public, even when it's 90-100 degrees she said ( ... )
