It makes me think of some romantic tragedy. Every time you try to get close to someone the huge clear ball crushes them into a bloody smear. I picture you lonely on the streets, at night. You seek the company of a stray cat, but it's tail gets caught under the great glass ball you are in, and when you inadvertently step up to help it... hehehehe
