So did you know that running a System Restore on your computer blanks out your hard drive cause I didnt and I just lost 4 years worth of college work. Including the worksheets I had to remake at 1 AM for my lesson tomorrow at 10 AM. Quality! I am really pissed on top of the fact that my roommate is a bitch and is annoyed that my boyfriend stays

If you are running xp and used system restore from one of the checkpoints, it wont erase your files...it will group them in a folder (but the folder wont have a name). It will get rid of any programs, but files such as word documents will remain.

If you did a system reinstall using the cds, then yep, u lose everying.
