Written for the
throneland Character Swap Challenge: I chose to swap the personalities and traits of Joffrey and Sansa.
We were also supposed to write an essay describing each of our characters. I also wrote a fic.

Most of the rest is pretty different from canon-Sansa or canon-Joffrey thougth, I think.
I'm glad you liked the last line.
It was an interesting challenge. There have been several, although I haven't done all of them. The last one was a limerick-writing challenge that was a lot of fun.
Thanks for reading and commenting.

I really loved this challenge.

I kind of love this new Joffrey that you've given us; romantic and soft and sweet and insecure. There's something so quintessentially teenage and awkward about him, and it's perfect.
And Sansa. OH, Sansa. You've done a great job of keeping circumstances the same- I do believe that canon!Sansa was Winterfell's little princess- while altering the core of Sansa's personality. The way she intimidates her siblings (with the exception of Robb..what is going on there?!) is awesome. And her disappointment in Joffrey (and attraction to Jaime)...FLAWLESS.
But the best part was the tension between Sansa and Cersei. I can just imagine Cersei facing off against a stubborn, sadistic, opportunistic young beauty...OMG.
I'm rambling, but bottom line: this is amazing and I would kind of love to read more about this situation. Thank you for sharing!!

I'm usually a very slow writer, but for some reason this challenge - both the essay and the fic - sort of flew out of my brain onto the computer. It surprised me.
I'm so glad that you think it worked.
As for Sansa and Robb - originally I was going to include a bit more, but not only was this already getting too long, but I was worried about wandering too far from the original premise. I left it open - Maybe her special regard for Robb is just because as the oldest male, he will eventually inherit Winterfell - or, maybe there are other reasons. D
And I loved writing the first meeting, and instant tension, between Sansa and Cersei.
Thanks again for taking the time to read this, and leaving such lovely comments.

I loved the idea of making Joffrey all dreamy and unrealistic the way Sansa is about noble kings and gentle ladies in the beginning, while Cersei, Tywin and even Tyrion are wringing their hands, worrying that as a king, he's just going to be too - nice.
Ruthless!Sansa was even more fun. I'm sure she was a terror to her younger siblings, and I wanted her direwolf to echo not only her personality, but her dreams of power. I also tried to make her as internally disdainful of Joffrey in their first meeting, as I sensed he was with her in canon.
And you just know ruthless!Sansa and Cersei would know and hate each other at first site, with Sansa being so confident that she would eventually get the upper hand.
I'm glad this worked for you, and thanks again for commenting.
