"Elixir" is a ponderous, cautionary tale of MAGIC IS SERIOUS BSNS, YOU JUST CAN"T USE IT FOR A QUICK FIX BECAUSE THAT'S CHEATING AND ONLY WE CAN DO THAT!

At least there's plenty of eye candy to enjoy.

Fantastic :D It's exactly the scene from Star Wars except with a hungry Obi Wan :D Also I love the Richard, the horses, moment because you'd think Richard had never seen a half naked woman before...or maybe he hasn't?

I award bonus points for the use of 'hither and yon' :D

Thanks! The similariies between Seeker and Star Wars are so blatant at times that you just can't igore them. D But since Lucas's work was so derivative itself, I really shouldn't carp too much. It's just rather amusing.

It cracked me up that the first 15 minutes of this episode were completely given over to watching Richard and Kahlan be pretty.

Hither and yon - I love that phrase and it turns up a lot in my writing.

I laughed so hard at your wry and witty comments. Superb!
And I also pretty much agree with everything. :D

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun putting it together.

I've become so familiar with the Darken-centric episodes that I can almost quote them verbatim, so I'm enjoying rewatching the rest of the episodes.

Heh, it is definitely the Force. Actually Zedd reminds me a lot of the Jedi in this episode, because he even has an apprentice/colleague who has turned to the Dark Side.

There was a lot of pretty in this episode, wasn't there? And ironically no evil D'Harans at all, which shows there's more than one problem in the modern Midlands.

I love that Kahlan has to yell at Richard to pay attention the horses ;)

The pretty almost overwhelmed the plot, at least at first, and I always love the correlations between Star Wars and Seeker.

I LOL'd at Jeziah having a quillion, like the other sorcerer with Annabelle in Season 2. Darken spent 1 whole season trying to get the power of confession, yet these guys always had just what he needed. You would have thought his minions would have found some of these artifacts lying about.

So much for being an all-powerful master of dark magic. I think Darken's master sorcerer PR was much worse than his magical bite.

I think Darken's master sorcerer PR was much worse than his magical bite. Oh, agreed :) I see him as being a lot less powerful than he's said to be, in terms of raw magical talent, but as having honed the skills he does have as much as possible.

It is still weird, though, because you'd think Giller used to part of that magic crowd, Zedd and Jeziah et al in the Wizard's Keep, staying up all night to discuss wacky magical artifacts...

Sadly, this episode was Darken-less :(
