Somehow I sense a Ty/Young Zedd cross-over fic in my future.

Zedd = A Beast.

Tyrion = A Beast.

The two of them in the same fic = inevitable.

:D

Landcomms can be a lot of fun :D I'm only in Legendland right now although I did get nostalgic for Whedonland recently. It's a great way to push your own boundaries in learning about graphics etc.

Don't pay any attention to that little person behind the curtain!

Lannisters are just a fad, a flash in the pan - like MySpace,usenet,8-track tapes, edsels. In another hundred years, nobody will even remember them.

The Starks have staying power - in every way.

(You know that Richard and Kahlan would totally be Starks! Noes! I don't want to argue myself out of my own House.)

Ah, perhaps we are a flash in the pan - but we burn brightly as gold!

What is better, a quick dash to glory or a long drudge in snow?

(And you know Darken Rahl would totally be a Lannister)

Ooh, how exciting! Landcomms are a lot of fun - at least legendland is (it's the only one I've ever been in). It seems like throneland is a bit different, since Richard, Kahlan, and Cara are all actually on the same side, whereas the Starks, Lannisters, and Targaryens...not so much.

I'm reading the books but I've never seen the show, or I'd be tempted to apply (except that I have no time at the moment...*sigh*)

Yeah - I'm kind of nervous. I haven't even had access to my own computer since I joined so haven't been able to do anything but post about it. Pris has already done a ton of graphics, created a new character with an entire backstory, written fic and participated in another challenge. I'm still at the starting gate.

I have a lot to learn, and very little spare time so we'll see how it goes.

From what I've read from members who went through the first round, everybody is very supportive of each other despite the Houses being enemies. So - it's all in good fun.

You really should watch the show - they did a wonderful job of adapting the book - even added some things that I thought were improvements. Since you lose the individual POV in a television show, they had to approach the story-telling a little differently.

Hope you're feeling better.

I'm sure you'll be brilliant :D You're a great writer, and although I don't know much about graphics, I still muddle through and post some to legendland, so I wouldn't think inexperience is too much of a problem.

What I said about the enemies thing was probably part of my secret quibble with legendland - I think it should be Team Rahl, Team Richard, and Team Nicci ;D (Kahlan and Cara just are on Team Richard, in reality, but Nicci's on her own team ;D)

I am planning/hoping to watch the show at some point, I just haven't gotten the chance.

And I am feeling a little better - thanks for asking :D

I haven't done as much as you think I have. It's about cutting corners. I used Gabriel Mann for my character because I already had a lot of pictures of him on my computer. All I did to make the character card was add text and a border. The picspam is just a bunch of screen caps I didn't do anything to but add captions underneath, and used html to adjust the width so they were all the same size. The bio and drabble was just about 800 words total, so that didn't take long. ^_^
