The excess on bike insurance is such that it's often cheaper just to replace them when they go missing yourself. Sorry to hear it happened in this instance, though.
I'd offer you my bike, but it's a very basic one (no front mudguard/luggage rack), probably too tall for you and I need to get the buckled front wheel fixed before it goes anywhere, so all in all, not too enticing a prospect at the moment, I'm afraid.
