The UK has the same system -- that's where we got it from. Arguably it results in even more messy results in Canada because of the huge geography and sparse population involved, although even in the UK it's turning up some issues with eg the Scottish independance party being disproportionately represented just like the Bloc Quebecois.
I may not agree with Obama on all the issues but I think he's a LOT better than just the least worst option. He seems to me to be a man and a politician of integrity, intelligence, conscience and vision, in all (arguably) of which, this election, his opponents have proved themselves markedly lacking.
