Two Minutes Behind the Scenes

This is cool. It's a two minute peek at the show staff at work at DHX (back when it was called Studio B). The voice actors are recording the dialog for Bridle Gossip with Tabitha St. Germain filling in for Tara Strong. (Tara records later, in California.) There's no voice over narration and you see the animation staff and Lauren Faust at work.

Probably a Cintq? Something like $3,000?

Some kind of Cintiq. I forget what they cost but the first time I saw them I was like "well, that's expensive".

Cintiqs aren't quite that expensive for the smaller sizes, mind - and there are a few similar from others that are supposedly worthy, and much cheaper, competitors, with Monoprice and Yiynova coming to mind.

Nice! Although hearing Twilight speak with a different voice is vaguely alarming.

I see Rarity wearing a bridle in one of those character pictures at 0:26 - is that from any known episde?

I don't recall seeing Rarity dressed quite that way. In the next column Applejack is also dressed up with a bridle, and she has some other unusual get-up in that same column. These may be examples of as yet unused concept art. Or I've just forgotten. ^_^

It's probably just concept art, then. Rarity's got mannequins with bridles in her boutique/workshop, IIRC, but I don't recall any actual pony having worn them (well, save for the makeshift one that Twilight wears for Spike in A Dog and Pony Show, but that doesn't really count).

Interesting, though - both saddles and bridles are canon now, it seems.
