As promised, Dear Reader, here are some shots H took of the Kaffe Fassett exhibition at Mottisfont Abbey.  It's currently on until 3rd January 2018.  Now there's a pre/post Christmas outing for you.  Perhaps.

So many beautiful quilts! I once flirted with the idea of making a quilt as we have some curtains that used to belong to R when he was a kid but I never went further than thinking about it, as it is such a giant task to undertake!

I started off by making cot quilts for friends with new babies. Something 4'x3' is a lot less daunting than a King Size spread. Besides which, it's a lot easier to handle when hand quilting!

I reckoned I could do one in a week, provided I didn't have too much else on.

So many beautiful things !!! Well, I don't like all the fabrics and colors, but they are amazing nonetheless..
