I honestly don't understand why kids kick/throw balls against a wall, especially when there are several of them (How about kicking/throwing the ball at each other, then?) and they always seem to do it in the worst possible place (against the side of the corner shop, around the access ramp to another shop, etc.) when they are next to open spaces, fields, and well, more often that not, football pitches!). I received one of those balls in my face once whilst using the access ramp. They apologised but why didn't they go to a more appropriate place to begin with?

Wimbledon sometimes brings out those with smaller balls and tennis racquets! Though we've not been bothered by them in recent years.
Last night the older lad came. I returned his ball, asked if he knew the Rules, he nodded and all was quiet for the rest of the evening. We'll see about today.

As for IDs. They ain't telling, though one was daft enough to turn up still wearing his named school shirt. So I know where he goes to school.
