Yeah: space and not ISIS.

Taking Syria for a moment, neighbouring countries are Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Turkey and, at a pinch, Iran.

Jordan and Lebanon have been receiving a steady flow of refugees for years now, and the camps are full and then some.
Iraq is not stable or at peace by any reasonable definition, and whilst Iran isn’t too bad at the moment, there’s no guarantee of how long that’s likely to last

Though I think technically various of the Muslim states have far more space than the UK, even if most of it is desert.
