I do respect the Powers that be, & pray for them too. Just also exercise my democratic right to think about what they are reported to be doing - which many well be different from what they are actually doing, you know what Media can be like, & comment on it occasionally.

I think various governments are using Osama Bin Laden & Al Kahyida as a kind of bogey man. An excuse to get their way with restrictive legislation & keeping the people they govern nervous enough to allow them to do so. They may say they're in favour of Democracy - but they don't really want us to start thinking that much.

Particularly if the results of our thinking lead us to oppose them! `i'm not really a cynic. Just a tad cynical occasionally.

As for Israel not wanting to wait too long - for what?

from what I have heard...Israel is not waiting long to take matters concerning Iran and their re-starting nuclear plants before taking action. whatever tat action is, who knows, but the american news media had been making it sound as if it would me some militaristic (sp? or is that even a word?) move. . .

Just because it's Iran saying it doesn't mean they not be actually starting up nuclear power-plants for power generation. Of course, this kind of reasonable thinking doesn't win points in these stupid macho "squaring up to each other" type things ( ... )
