Aaaarrrggh!  I had just about gotten my blog written today when Firefox went & updated.  Needless to say the "Restore from Saved Draft" facility didn't.  So that's another one.  Mind you, the "Update" box has stopped flashing off & on each time the Autosave cuts in, so it's not entirely bad!

I'm guily of peeve 2. I did try BCC but just uploaded a new update for my mail and couldn't find it :(

I'm slighlty guilty of peeve 3 who was included in the reason for peeve 2.
I can however say that (in terms of city lightning however), the electricity is produced by our nuclear plants, and there is no way to save it, so it's still produced, and whether it's used or not doesn't make any difference.

I only put one small, really really small lighting on the window of my apartment...
I'm not trying to justify myself, but all the lights have economy saving bulbs, and I seldom use them anyway..

is it better to use a toaster oven for 40 minutes or a microwave for 8?

Nah, though I may just get round to writing to our local paper - they're running their annual competition to see who has the best external lights display.

& Actually, I wouldn't know. Though I suspect it'd be the microwave. Try something to do with power consumption times time appliance is on?

Yeah, but I was thinking about overall power out put. I dunno, I'll sit down and do the math :( I'm suspect I'm getting a george foreman grill for christmas, so counterspace might have to be made.
