Galex are going to and from the same location as Ray and Chris, and yet they get to go in the Quattro by themselves
Anytime anyone but Alex sits in the passenger seat it seems wrong. Of course it usually is because either Gene and Alex are fighting are he's deliberately not taking her along on something he knows she does or would disapprove of, so there's probably a reason why the idea of anyone else there rocks the boat. While it was the same thing on LoM (always the same ones in front or split if the group took two cars) it didn't have the same...deliberateness as it seems to on A2A. Gene/Alex/Quattro, OT3 of awesome and now...it's all broken.
Heehee, Uptown Girl moments or awesome. But then to end on THAT scene (fucking KEATS)...yeah it has to be there.
There's something right about Gene/Alex/Quattro... (and wrong about Gene/Anyone else/Quattro) But you're right, it's broken in sooo many ways. I also like it in a wierd way whenever Alex hijacks the Quattro and drives it herself...
I deliberately chose a video which stopped before we see Keats, so I could kid myself Stuff happened. :D (didn't work, but still)
I pretty much love Alex hijacking the Quattro, especially since you know no one else would even touch Gene's car without permission. It's just such an Alex thing to do.
I'm not sure I realized how much the Quattro was a Gene and Alex thing until I noticed nameless guy riding shotgun in 2x08 and how completely wrong that was. Sure he'd kicked Alex off the case, but to put nameless guy in her place in the car? Oh Gene.
I may or may not be trying to write fic where Keats doesn't get the pictures done until the next morning. If I am it's going slowly.
It really is, and even though Gene is pissed when she does it, you know it would be sooo much worse if anyone else did.
Yeah, 2x08 wasn't a highpoint in terms of Gene/Alex. I think that because Gene/Alex/Quattro seems so natural, it feels totally wrong when it's not there. It even sort of feels wrong on the rare occasion that it's just Gene/Quattro, imo.
Ooh, if you are, albeit slowly, I'd love to read that :D
