If you are an artist and you sign-up before the sign ups are closed, you will be allowed to choose up to two stories written for this challenge. ANY two stories. There is no “first claimed first served” rule.
I believe that if an author can choose a fandom and plotline the artist also should be allowed to choose a story they wish to create their art for. I think it’s fair, because artists should not be restricted to choose a story they are not interested in just because there was somebody else who lives in convenient time zone who claimed the story they liked.
Because of the lack of the rule above some stories will most probably be claimed by many artists and some will be unclaimed in the end. This is why after the claiming period is over, artists who hadn’t signed up here will be allowed to claim a story as well. They will however be limited to choose at least one of the unclaimed stories and the second choice will be from all the stories submitted.
If you sign up here it doesn’t mean YOU HAVE TO CREATE AN ART in the end. If none of the stories would be interesting for you, you can drop out anytime you wish :)
- a cover, a wallpaper, a banner, an illustration, etc)
- a fanmix of at least 10 songs
- a vid/trailer
- at least 10 icons
- a podfic in mp3 format if the author agrees
