The night plays through your fingertips as you stare up at the stars. He wonders what you're thinking, dreams weaving through his hair. Silence. Perfection of time and space. A wave of ocean tide and air across your cheek with a reminiscent 'why' lingering at your tongue. Wind flows through the trees, stirring merely memories.

     He needed to know what he had done to deserve such persecution, and I wanted so badly to reach out, touch him and tell him 'nothing'.  But how do you do that for a person who has experienced so much pain. How do you explain to him that he is fine and heaven is still his, when society allows 'nothing' to be a while damn lot?
