I am still amused that after screaming about Arrow for a year, people are finally watching in mass, but HEY. Let's ignore that you're late to the party and just embrace that you showed up at all. Because it is a stupidly great show and having people to scream about it with, only makes it all the better.

I'm so happy that you and other people talked about Arrow so much for so long because I don't know that I ever would've gotten to the point where I was like, "Okay maybe I should get past my anti-superhero and anti-CW thing and check this out," otherwise. And it is definitely fun to have other people to yell about Arrow with! I am still surprised that it became one of my favorite new things this year.

Your lists are so great! I'm having trouble with mine, and then I'm just never good at writing about everything...I think I'm just lazy, lol. But ARROW! Definitely my favorite show I started watching this year.

Thank you so much! Normally I have a much harder time figuring out what to say about everything, but I had more time to type up this post than the past 2 years when I was working full-time, so that helped, and I also just felt like I had more specific reasons why I liked all this stuff this year than I did with other stuff in the past. But yes, Arrow!!! It's definitely one of my fave new things, and I really didn't expect to like it half as much as I do.

Oh man, how far as Game of Thrones fallen that it doesn't even make your list anymore? Maybe if I go into season four with super low expectations it will somehow surprise me in a good way (doubt it).

Thank you for including that cap of Bell in the grey T-Shirt in your Elementary picspam. You're doing God's work.

I agree with all of your thoughts on our shared shows (Elementary, Parks, New Girl, Sleepy Hollow, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Orphan Black)! I really need to finish season 5 of Breaking Bad. It's amazing how consistently solid the show is.

Sometimes it seems so surreal that The Lizzie Bennet Diaries even happened this year. What a whirlwind! I agree with you that while the show was massively (massively) flawed, those two dumb kids were still cute.

ALL I WANTED FOR CHRISTMAS WAS A MINDY/DANNY SUPERCUT because I don't really feel like getting into the show (I've seen a few episodes and I just find it uneven and I don't really enjoy the side characters, which is crucial for me in a comedy) but they look SO ADORABLE.

The weird thing with season 3 of Game of Thrones is that I don't even know entirely what my problem with it was? Like, I didn't really dislike it, and there aren't very many storylines that I can point to that I think they're doing terribly. The one exception would be Sansa's storyline, which I do think they're doing a pretty poor job of depicting, and since she is my priority when it comes to this series, that's probably part of my dissatisfaction. But idk, I just didn't feel the spark this season like I did with the past seasons. Plus, there was just a lot of really amazing TV this year, so even though I enjoyed Game of Thrones overall well enough and in other years it probably would've made my list, when it was up against all this other stuff, it couldn't compare ( ... )

These picspams are so pretty. I'm disappointed that Elementary is low on your list, but at least it made the cut! I think Parks and Recreation has made a really killer comeback this year. It sucks that Rashida Jones is leaving (not to mention in such a lame-ass way), but season 6 has been consistently funny and poignant. I'm the most invested in Leslie's storyline since the "Smallest Park" days.

Thank you so much!!! I don't even know why Elementary fell that low because I do still love it a lot! I think it's more a me thing than the fault of the show. And yeah, I definitely agree Parks has made a comeback with season 6. I was starting to worry about the show a little at the end of season 5 just because it really had dropped in quality, and I really felt dissatisfied with the finale, but this season has mostly been doing some great stuff. I definitely excited to see where Leslie's storyline is going to go.

Ugh, your graphics are always so GORGEOUS HOW DO YOU PHOTOSHOP?????

I watched all of The Fosters recently and totally adore it, too. I actually started watching it for the actor who plays Brandon, but yeah, he's also my least favorite. It's so funny, because if they didn't actually purposefully narratively frame Brandon/Callie as the OTP of the teenagers on the show, I would probably totally LOVE Brandon and Brandon/Callie subtext? That whole thing is basically the one aspect the series gets wrong, IMO. But everything else is so A++ and it is so progressive that it warms my cold, dead heart.

Plus, this season of Veep resulted in Julia Louis-Dreyfus winning another Emmy, which gave us that amazing acceptance speech with Tony Hale as Gary, and that is still one of my favorite things that has ever happened at an awards show.

I am a geek and totally cried both from laughing waaaay too hard and also from just the happiness and total affection I feel for both of them, haha.

(Also, on a different note, I've decided that if the ( ... )

awwww thank you, you're so sweet!!!

Yeah, if Brandon/Callie weren't as much of a focus as they are, I would definitely be more into them. But I also don't really mind them, like... they're not enough to make me think less of the show. All the family stuff is so beautiful that I really don't care about anything else anyways.

I REALLY WANT BELL/JOAN TO HAPPEN. I mean, the writers have talked about wanting to keep Sherlock/Joan platonic, but I don't think they've ever said that about Bell/Joan, and while they haven't had a huge amount of interaction, the little moments we occasionally get between them are really great. I was especially in love with the fact that Joan went down to the station to bring him soup (I think? Food of some sort, at least). SO CUTE. I really want the show to do more with them.

MY MAD FAT DIARY. I'm so consumed with love for that show.
