End of the year picspam time! This post ended up way too large, so I'm posting it in two parts! This part is books and movies (plus a fandom/TV meme), and Part 2 is shows and ships.

Top Books of 2013 )

tv in 2013, picspam, movies in 2013, books in 2013

I do that book meme every year, and it's a lot of fun!

Are the movies in the order that you saw them? What was your #1 favorite, if you had to pick one?

Do not finish Homeland.

Yep, they're in the order I saw them this year! It's so hard to choose a favorite since I watched so many great ones this year! Of the ones that actually came out in 2013, I think I'd have to go with Before Midnight, and then 12 Years a Slave close behind it, and Inside Llewyn Davis and Nebraska right after that. But then if you add in pre-2013 films I saw for the first time last year, I really loved Fanny and Alexander and Dog Day Afternoon a lot, plus Before Sunrise and Before Sunset, so I'm not sure how I would compare those to the 2013 films. I think I might like all those 2013 films I mentioned a little more than them, but it's really close.

Yay Pink Carnation! That was definitely one of my favourite book discoveries of the year (I still have to read Purple Plumeria though). Same goes with the Bedwyn series (oh wow, Slightly Dangerous was just... SO MUCH). I think next year I'm finally going to tackle the Bridgertons.

The Pink Carnation books are so much fun! I read the first like... 5, I think, at the end of 2011, and then took a break for no particular reason. I'm so glad I decided to finish out the series in 2013 since I loved them just as much (sometimes even more) than the earlier books. I would definitely recommend Purple Plumeria! I really didn't expect to be that into it, but it was so completely delightful and I got totally sucked in.

Slightly Dangerous! WULF!!!!!!!!! Such a great book!!! AND YES, THE BRIDGERTONS!!! I definitely highly recommend that series. I think it's probably lighter than Pink Carnation and the Bedwyn series (only by a little), but they're so much fun, and the Bridgertons are one of the best fictional families.

Thanks for the book post! I put several on the books you mentioned (Omens, Written In Red, Knowing The Score) on my to-read list!
