Ohhh, I love this ♥

I mean, I love the whole concept, seeing this issue brought to the forefront, the theme of monstrosity, all of that. But what touched me most was how you incorporated the little in game details into this. Oh man. Just amazing.

This probably says more about me than the fic, but here goes.

What pinged me about this fic was not the many nods to the game, nor how the Land of Summons and its cheeky rulers were presented. (Even though those things were all very, very good.) What pings me is how Rydia, a magician/summoner girl raised in a time-lapsed world of monsters, finds herself in the very real predicament of having to choose between two lives. She might not end up truly happy either way - but she doesn't have a chance if she ignores her love. This is probably truer than most of us want to admit.

This may not have been your intention, and I'm sorry if not. I just wanted you to know that I enjoyed this, and perhaps that it's enjoyable on multiple levels.

What you have mentioned is, actually, one of my favorite things to examine in Rydia, and probably 50% of the reason that I write her so often. I love looking at all the different ways she might be torn and all the things she may have to deal with (and, in different fics, the different ways she might deal with them). So yes, I am actually glad that it pinged so well with you! ♥
