I mean, I like it. :D I think it's fair to play around with their clothes. They may have had Amano art, but the sprites were always different and easily left to interpretation.
I love playing with their outfits, seriously! Plus Rosa's DS-canon purple panties are probably impossible for me to draw without laughing a little. (Or at all, because I have no skills!) But yeah, I never even bothered to match the Amano art. Probably because he gave Rydia a terrifying crotch.
I agree about the green lines, actually. I'd put them in to start coloring the hair or something and I have no real idea what I was doing - mostly just playing. But I'd accidentally put them on the same layer as the skinny lineart because I am a moron, and thus, yeah. :P
Also, thank you! I've never really thought about it that way, but most of my practice-drawing has been faces only, so it probably makes sense in that sort of context. I was pretty happy with these sketches even in their unfinished-ness, so I think you might be right as to "do what you can do" on weeks where I might be a little robbed of time.
