Oh, wow, this is so wicked. Presented any other way, I'd have a lot of trouble looking at Rinoa in this light, but you've developed it so well and put it so carefully into such a solid context that it really, really works!

Loved loved loved the Rinoa characterization, and the way you fit the idea of wanting Sorceress power in with her insecurities and her need to keep up with the others. Fantastic.

I loved everything you did with Junctioning -- all the different characters' approach to it, and this bit:

She’s still having trouble telling the basic spells apart: Cure, Cura, Curaga, they all sit kind of in the same area of her brain and sometimes she grabs at the wrong one.So cool. I love fic that can deal with the details of game mechanics and make make it both interesting and character-revealing

This was totally amazing! I've never really beena big fan of Rinoa, but you touched upon her character in a way I've never really seen before, and it works PERFECTLY. Her characterisation was superb. I really liked the way you fit the whole reality of what it must have been like for Rinoa, a normal teenage girl, to be caught up in all this sorceress war business. And the magic was perfect.

You get a cookie and my undying admiration.
