1. Oh how I miss my digital camera :-( True, I may never have got around to learning how to take half decent photos with it, and yeah, about 80% the crappysnaps I did take were blurred pictures of cats wandering off or deciding to bat at the camera strap the moment the shutter closed, but nevertheless it sucks being without it. 2. A landline of some description is still, in my opinion a must, and what's more a non-cordless-plug-it-in-the-phone-socket-with-no-electricity landline variety. If you have a power cut, or the battery is out of your mobile, you can still get through in an emergency.

3. Yeah, I noticed that too. Not such a crime me thinks as when they changed Hayley - I still say bring back Lucy Davies!!

5. I guess John B. has been too busy doing his How Do You Solve and Any Dream programmes along with his Doctor Who committments. When is the next series of Torchwood though?

2. Indeed! I'm glad I hung on to my 'traditional' landline phone after I got a pair of cordless-plug-'em-into-the-leccy-socket handsets, as trying to use the latter where I currently live is like trying to talk through a force 9 gale, there's so much background noise ( ... )

i've said this before but get thee to a CAB if you think you can't deal with filling in a big nasty form in time. i've done that even when i knew what was needed but just didn't trust myself to do it.

oh & summer telly's shite is it not? i'll've prolly watched every box set i own soon enough!

Thanks for reminding me about the CAB. I'll tryyyyy to force myself along (though getting out of the house is a fairly big achievement at the moment - I don't feel scared by the notion of going outside, per se, but it just never seems to happen! Or gets put off, and put off, and put off, till oh dear, the shops (or whatever it was I needed to go out for) are shut, never mind, it'll have to wait) if it seems I'm going to need some extra prodding w/ the form ( ... )

i've shuffled to the CAB hidden away in a hoody, feeling twitchy & barely able to squeak why i'm there to the receptionist before now (cus of being in the middle of a 'can't go out' thingo you've so accurately described.) ho hum..it gets on my tits that they (dwp) know all these things are difficult & why yr on benefits but yr suddenly meant to be able to deal with them for their forms/assessments/deadlines. the tossers ( ... )
