I know I haven't been around much... I'm hoping to write a longer post about that soon. My apologies to anyone who may have been offended by my not posting/not replying to comments/not commenting on others' journals. Life's just been kicking my ass lately

- ONLY FOUR ORIGINALS??? And TEN covers? I thought it was supposed to be half and half??? Dammit! I mean, I know I'll fall in love with it anyways, but... dammit! I assume this means that the four originals will be the new songs from the JBT... and I also assume that the only reason we're getting those four at all is because Clay & Co. know that we'll all beat them with blunt objects if they don't give us those songs. LMAO.

- Why do I think that clip of Clay lipsyncing "Right Here Waiting" was for a video? (It wouldn't make sense to have him lipsync for the sake of a photoshoot) Why do I get the horrible feeling that RHW is going to be the lead single? His first freaking single in more than two years should NOT be a COVER... arrrrrgh.

You're telling me. I'm still extremely annoyed with the cover idea. And I've only liked 1/4 song clips we've heard, my excitement is starting to die down, mainly because I'm afraid that I'll hate it :(.

I said this over at your journal too, but yeah - I feel the exact same way :( I haven't listened to anything other than ATD and then the little snippet last night, in part because I don't want to be spoiled, but also because I'm not thrilled with the songs that are being covered, so I'm afraid that I'll listen to the clips and hate them, and I don't want to hate Clay :( That's the same reason I still don't have the Christmas album yet... lol

And apparently, I assumed horribly, horribly wrongly when it came to the four original songs... aaaaaauuuuugggghhhhh... *runs around screaming and pulling hair out*

Word to the 4 new song thing, because I'm really worried that they aren't going to be the 4 he previewed on tour. If they aren't, I may die a little. Words can't express how much I love BFM, TRD, and JY. A 1000 Days I like okay, but I wouldn't mind if it were a different one.

I don't think RHW is going to be the single though, I've heard that we haven't heard the single anywhere yet.

I had my hopes up about half/half, but I'm not going to say too much until I get a better idea of the songs. The ones he's picked so far are guilty pleasures of mine, and I like them a lot, but I'm still hoping for around 5 or 6 really awesome fast songs.

Blargh. I'm so conflicted. On one hand, I'm thrilled that he's finally putting out something new. On the other hand, I am not at all excited about what he's putting out, especially now that we've learned that we're NOT getting BFM, JY & TRD :( :( :( Those songs were the main things that were keeping my hopes up - I'd be okay with the covers so long as we got those JBT songs. And we're not getting them. And I'm not okay now.

I feel so negative about this, and I don't want to. Especially since there's a chance that I'll end up loving the album after all, and then I'll look like an ass for complaining :p But I just... he could do so much BETTER...

Argh... I need to make a rambly post about this, I think... lol

I know what you mean, I'm actually feeling a LOT better about the album now that I've seen the track listing, but I do wish he had made a few different choices. I'm also pretty mad about the JBT songs (BFM, JY, AND TRD) being cut, but the way I see it, we have mp3s of those (not the greatest, but still), and can listen to them, so I'm super excited about the 3 new songs he has listed instead.

I don't think you should feel negative at all, everyone has their own opinion of it. Lol, you should make a rambly post, things like that always make me feel better.
