All ready for summer - now if only the weather did the same

So about a year ago my sewing machine broke down in the middle of making a maxi summer/party dress I was intending to wear to a big work party, and I had to abandon the project. After buying a new (and fancier) sewing machine I continued on the dress, though I never quite finished it.

Until now.

That is a really beautiful dress. It looks great. I haven't sewn since my son was born - he's sixteen now - but I used to make all my clothes. I know exactly what you mean about the pockets, too.

That looks very pretty and comfortable. The weather decided it was summer here the last few days. It had to wait until the three day weekend was over to stop raining. Pockets will make it perfect.

Pretty and it looks comfortable. Have you attached the beading to the dress? It doesn't really stand out in the pic but does look pretty and I can imagine it looks great on.
But yes, pockets! useful things.
