but i had to grow up. and soon the leaves got old and the trees were all the same and the stars looked back at me every night.

I feel the exact same way you do. :/
Growing up sucks.
I miss the freedom of just being a kid, not having to worry about things, and not knowing about all the bad stuff happening and that could happen in the world.
Try to cherish every single moment you have now.
You're 18 right?
I blinked and now I'm 23. :(

i always have the feeling I'm not enjoying my youth. like i dwell on things longer than i should, longer than it deserves. though i will do as you say and try to make the best of this even if i'm 18 and not a kid anymore.

we can still create our own world and shut out the rest, but we won't get back our childish view on things.

i don't know about you but i don't care about growing old, i just don't want to grow up. (i'm terrified actually)
