Oh. My. God. I think this is the best AU I've read. Ever. (warning: extremely long essay-like quoting coming up :P) I had like 5 billion other lines I wanted to write down, but I thought I'd spare you xD
When Silva gets home from class on Tuesday, there's a vase on the counter with fresh flowers. Violets. It's the first time he starts to associate Villa with home.
"Yeah, mama," he says. "I think he-he has a good heart." He finishes his coffee quickly; suddenly he's very eager to get home. Home... :')
"You weren't here for days," Villa says, almost to himself, as he bends to gather his papers from the table. "I thought you'd-I thought you-" aww David, you're worried about him, aren't you? <333
Villa's quiet for awhile, and Silva keeps his eyes on the road, glad that that's out of the way. "You would?" Villa asks finally. "Worry?"
He eyes Villa out of the corner of his eye. "Yeah," he says. "Of course." They don't speak anymore before they get to the pitch but it's an easy silence, comfortable. Of COURSE he would worry about you,
( ... )
ahh thank you so much! i am overwhelmed by how great this comment is, i am super glad that you liked it and i really appreciate you taking the time to share which parts you liked!
I'd like to second most of every comment so far, there are way too many bits of this that I adore (i.e. the whole thing) but...but. I don't usually read Silva/Villa but your Silva and Villa were adorable and intriguing, and together they were adorable.
More than that, the little insights and things that ring so true in your writing - that's what makes a fic fantastic for me, and this one definitely was. Now to shamelessly repeat what sparksfly said, the whole process of Villa opening up, how they get to know each other so well and it's odd how different it is, after...that's love. <3
aren't you glad you have my awesome comments to fall back on? this was so, so lovely. *sigh* I always wanted to write a Silvilla, but I just...never got around to it. Same thing with Torrilla (although my Pasion Roja series is kinda Torrilla) and Fabrilla...and homework o_O
So, so grateful. xD No seriously, what you said was exactly what I felt upon reading this. :3
Totally agree with you here: always want to do my homework but never get around to it...hehe jokes, these beautiful longfics are what I aspire to write, but it takes time and patience and persistence. Torrilla, Fabrilla...plus I do want to write Messilla. (Am I much belates in ~feeling that ship?)
As for you I wholeheartedly encourage anything you write once you have the time. :D
So in love with this!! The build up from strangers to friends to finally more. PERFECT. You write such golden moments- Villa's vulnerability, the slow realization that Silva's various emotions are of him falling in love. Those did me in.
Can I beg for more in this AU??!! It was a beautiful read.
This is absolutely lovely! I adore the slow build-up to their kiss and how none of them are the perfect roommates but they still care about each other (Silva and Villa, Cesc and Silva) and I loooove how you included all the side 'characters.'
