Your character's name: Narumi Ayumu
Series your character's from: Spiral ~Suiri no Kizuna~
Background info on your character:

The story of Spiral begins with a mystery that is related to the "Blade Children". Of course, the story also unravels the main character, Ayumu Narumi! He is one of those very calculating people and he pretty much thinks critically all the time! Also, his brother (Kiyotaka) has been missing for two years and he wants to know why and how and pretty much everything else. (Brother complex, I tell you.) When his brother disappeared, his last words were "I'm going to pursue the Blade Children", and that's where the whole story of Spiral revolves or spirals.

Okay, so, the story starts of, as mentioned, with a mystery. This mystery is a murder and was easily solved, although another "murder" adds to it. Basically it's all just a chain of murders and all the victims happen to be Blade Children. That, or it's the culprits who are the Blade Children. Of course, Ayumu tries to dig deeper into these links since he might eventually find his brother again. He works with his sister-in-law and his brother's wife, Madoka and her detective friends in this thing.

Ayumu followed the footsteps of his brother, only his brother is perfect unlike him! That's what he thinks, at least. He always thinks very little of himself because of how he thinks his brother is perfect, and stuff like that. Ayumu is really intelligent though, like his brother, and figures things out quickly. Whenever Madoka investigates cases, Ayumu would usually just pop up since he's doing his own investigations too and would wrap up the case for her sister. It is also revealed that Ayumu is very skilled in playing the piano (juuuust like his brother!) that he is regarded as the prodigy piano player known as the "pianist with the angelic hands". He says he has stopped playing the piano though, which makes pretty much all the people who want to hear him play disappointed.

World-class pianist, Eyes Rutherford visits Japan and grabs the microphone of one of the reporters and demands that someone (anyone) bring him Narumi Kiyotaka's younger brother. So the two of them eventually meet! Eyes forces Ayumu to play the piano for him to the point that he tells Ayumu how much he's afraid of being compared to his brother, how he's a failure, blah blah blah. Depressing things like that. Which of course, depress Ayumu as it haunts him while he watches Eyes' concert. Only, not really since the concert hasn't started and he took it off his mind for a bit. "Someone" calls security and tells them that a bomb has been planted, et cetera and they all have to find it. Ayumu helps out of course. Obviously, the culprit is Eyes and he just wants to test Ayumu -A- With the help of his brother's old tales, Ayumu and Hiyono diffuse the bomb, yaaaaay. Lucky the turtle pops out of nowhere and then says "Congrtulations, Narumi otouto! The Blade Children are waiting for you!" SUSPENSE.

After this incident and another (unsolved) murder, Ayumu and Hiyono meet Kousuke Asazuki! Asazuki tells Ayumu and Hiyono that he is one of the Blade Children and even tells the two of them to feel his rib cage to actually make sure. Ayumu then tells Hiyono that Madoka found out that all Blade Children are missing one rib which are surgically removed after birth. At this time, they find the murderer. Asazuki gives Ayumu another test just as Eyes did to test his "knowledge, courage and luck" in exchange for information about Kiyotaka and the Blade Children. It is also revealed in this test that Ayumu is allergic to hornet's poison since he has an incredibly sensitive immune system and he would die if he got stung. Asazuki's test involves playing cards and Ayumu guessing what card he picked among the 52. He starts heating things up and tells Ayumu things about his brother first: that he only got it in one guess and did it without any hesitation, and how he always loses to Kiyotaka.

One more murder, and Ayumu meets another of the Blade Children, Rio Takeuchi! One thing in common with the three Blade Children he's met so far: they test him with puzzles that determine either life or death, and they always bring up something that would make Ayumu vulnerable to anger or emo shit god why Kiyotaka. Anyway, Ayumu also wins this test and that's pretty much all of it! The story progresses and a man named Kanone Hilbert, another of the Blade Children arrives in Japan as a "hunter" of the Blade Children. Eyes plans on stopping Kanone with the help of Ryoko Takamichi, yet another of the group. Asazuki tranfers to Ayumu's school as well. And things start getting serious. Kanone pays Ayumu a visit and asks for his cooperation in order to fulfill his "wish". He wants Ayumu to go against Eye and the other Blade Children since he wants all of them to be exterminated. Of course, Kanone doesn't exactly play fair. He threatens Ayumu with his life but it ends up being a joke since apparently, Kanone won't kill anyone that isn't part of the Blade Children, hardy har har.

Ayumu investigates more about the Blade Children and find out about the "watchers". He finds out too that there are 25 Blade Children in Tsukiomi High School and that these watchers have gathered them all in one school; it isn't just a coincidence. Watchers are neutral Blade Children, so they don't do anything about protecting the other Blade Children or stopping Kanone. At this point, Ayumu decides to help Eyes and the gang as it's apparently just as Kiyotaka keikaku'd.

One afternoon, while Hiyono and Ayumu are out for snacks at some pastry shop thing, Kanone pays a visit and sits with them. The three of them try to outsmart each other with witty retorts but Kanone ends up winning through the use of violence. He kicks Ayumu and beats him up, and then shoots him on the shoulder until he becomes unconscious. He then makes Ayumu his hostage and brings him to Tsukiomi high. Everyone else vacates the campus while he waits for the 25 Blade Children of Tsukiomi high to gather in the third gymnasium of the school for his "carnival". Kanone tells Ayumu that if he becomes free from his being hostage, he will let him shoot him freely and things like that. Of course, once Ayumu becomes free he gets his emo time because "is this really according to aniki's plan?" and things like that. Once Ayumu becomes set on killing Kanone though, Hiyono interferes and acts as a stall to give Ayumu time to think of a plan to end everything without anyone dying. Ayumu starts playing the piano and the great Ayumu plan is put into action! Eventually, Ayumu wins and hurraaaaaay it's hospital time. Boy this app sure is getting really long, I am terribly sorry.

While in the process of recovery, Eyes and Kirie (one of the Watchers) visit Madoka and Ayumu in the hospital and inform them more about the whole deal. They mention that Kiyotaka is a god, and someone has to oppose him-- a, or the devil. Mizushiro Yaiba. Yaiba was born to a Japanese couple and had a rib missing. Eyes then reveals that Yaiba is the father of all the Blade Children. Yaiba controlled an organization called "Knights" and within it, he made a project: the "Blade Children" project. This plan was to mass produce Yaiba's children, and these children were to carry the same fate as him, having one rib missing. Of course, Yaiba's wit and talent were also passed on to these children with the help of science giving these Blade Children exceptional skills at everything ever. Also they will be the ones who will exterminate humans. Oops. They continue on talking about Kiyotaka and how he killed Yaiba. Even though he killed Yaiba, he still couldn't save the Blade Children, therefore, another "god" was born-- Ayumu Narumi (aka the God of Salvation). This explains why the hell Kiyotaka and Ayumu both like and dislike the same things. Ayumu is a clone of Kiyotaka, and he of course, has a "devil" counterpart that he needs to get rid off, too. And his counterpart happens to be the devil's younger brother, Mizushiro Hizumi.

After this long talk about the entiiiire story, Ayumu visits the others who have been hospitalized and gets ready to go home! Yaaay being released! He goes home to find that Hizumi has been living in his apartment (or well, Kiyotaka's apartment) while he and Madoka were staying in the hospital. The two of them go to school together and start living together too boy this is gay and this is where I'll be taking him from!

Ayumu is aloof and pretty cold. He has a lot to be proud about, like his intelligence and talent in so many things. Because of how he sees his brother though, he developed an inferiority complex and believes that he can't surpass his brother and can't make a name for himself. He gives up on himself easily and only considers himself an ordinary person despite the extra ordinary things he can do. Ayumu also happens to be an introvert and it is displayed through his coldness. He usually acts indifferent but inside he feels incredibly reeled in by the events happening. He always appears serious and whenever his facade is being revealed he would immediately resort to wisecracks to change the subject.

Ayumu will occasionally show confidence and be a bastard and, well, look arrogant in front of people. This happens though when he's bluffing, so he doesn't exactly mean it. After saying big things, he would immediately cower or something and think how badly he's going to do or how much of a hell he'll be suffering since he said those kinds of things. He usually doesn't think that his plans will work, even if they are genius. He thinks too negative about everything ever so he's one of those annoying emo pessimists who keep on saying he's pathetic even though he isn't.

Although after a lot of near death experiences, Ayumu's character grows in a way that he doesn't see himself as someone who can't surpass Kiyotaka anymore. He isn't wallowing in self-pity and walking in his older brother's shadow, but has made a resolve to himself. He's become nicer to people, and he's become more cheerful. He hasn't exactly gone past the whole inferiority complex yet and still thinks he can't achieve anything, but he tries to do so because he wouldn't really know that he can't do it it he doesn't actually do it! Buuuut yeah, like what was mentioned above, Ayumu has all the characteristics of Kiyotaka so he's talented in everything ever and is absolutely intelligent. He still has a bad reputation in class despite this new kind of personality though since he doesn't really like cooperating with anyone.

Sample post:

I don't exactly remember the house having been redecorated when I left. Nee-san wasn't even around to actually do some redecorating. She probably wouldn't even be able to since she's useless with anything that has to do something with the household. Though I guess it's pretty obvious now that I'm not at... "home" anymore. I didn't hear any magical bell sound that would notify that I've entered an alternate dimension like in those games that Nee-san plays. Then again, that may be a point to consider despite how strange it could be.

This couldn't exactly be part of aniki's plans either. If it is, I see no point in it. Maybe I need more time to think and set things straight, but a tropical setting doesn't really help one bit. I'm distracted by the palm trees and the bright sunlight. The annoying music too, if anything else. Come to think of it, what does "betting on it" have to do with anything? Do I have to bet on aniki and actually continue being a tool? Geez, probably even considering that is according to his plan too.

Or this could be Hizumi's plan to change fate. If I'm not around, there wouldn't be anyone to end his life. The curse will be continued. But he did mention something about the song that I will sing as "God". I haven't heard which song he'll be singing, but he probably meant that metaphorically. This song is really speaking out to me though, for some reason. If it didn't repeat the whole "bet on it" thing, I'd probably like it. Too bad it's a stupid song that only Hiyono might like.

There is no way I am making this song my theme song.
