got the new white stripes yesterday while i was grocery shopping. got the chance to listen to it today, and the first track, "blue orchid," really got me excited and looking forward to the rest of the album. but i was really pretty disappointed with the whole album overall. and it almost hurts me to say this, considering how much i love/loved the

I felt the same way about the album! My favorite is white blood cells. i dunno, this one's...i dunno...not the same feel o.o

Aww. That's how I felt about the new No Doubt/Gwen. I effing grew up with No Doubt, and a lot of their music has affected me. Then Rock Steady came along. Like you said, there's a few good tracks, but for the most part, it's not the No Doubt that I love and adore. Eh.

What's your favourite White Stripes album? I've always been partial to their self-titled, and White Blood Cells. Remember, even if their latest is not as great as you'd hoped it would be, The White Stripes still has awesome music aplentry, right?

i really love all the albums pretty equally, but i think i love white blood cells just a bit more, because of sentimental reasons, and because it really spoke to me on many different levels. and, come to think of it, it's probably my favorite album of all time!

this is true, the white stripes have blessed me and many others with the gift of really awesome music, enough to last a lifetime for just about any other artist really, and so i take comfort in that. :)
