I've been to the cinema twice in the past two days. The first film I saw was The Hunger Games, which you all know about so all I'm going to say on it is that I really liked it, and I am in love with Lenny Kravitz.

I DESPERATELY WANTED TO SEE THIS ANYWAY AND YOU'VE JUST INCREASED MY LONGING

It looks awesome, truly! And I want to see The Hunger Games, too, even though I actually don't know that much about it (I've gained some impressions by tumblr-osmosis but I'm hazy on the details), so I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

I think I actually preferred this to The Hunger Games, which I did love. But The Pirates was quirky Britishness at it's most quirky and British. I realise I never mentioned the Blue Peter badge, but I'm sure all Britons have noticed that in the trailers and posters already.

Seriously, Lizz. It's worth it for Russell Tovey alone. His line delivery is perfection.

Yes, quirky British things are what Aardman stand for and I love it :D And I hadn't noticed the Blue Peter badge, which I'm now ashamed about! ALSO RUSSELL TOVEY. I just watched his episode of Just a Minute asdfgh FAVOURITE BOY <3

Also I think the line you couldn't make out might be "cause if you only nick it"?

I really love the book and I'm a big fan of the kind of clay-animation in Wallace and Grommit style, so I was planning on seeing it just because of that. But your description makes it sound SO AMAZING. <3
