For those in the UK who watched the first episode of Strange and Norrell and made the deeply wrong decision not to continue with it, you have 29 hours to repent and start catching up in time for the last episode on Sunday, before Episode 2 falls off iPlayer.

We are LOVING it. I read it a while ago, like you; J has never read it so it's all new to him. I agree last night's episode was AMAZING. I will be so sorry when it's over!!

If you didn't like the first episode (though I can't imagine how) then I suspect you wouldn't like the rest. I understand the annoyance with Drawlight but surely this is a tiny niggle. Every character is close to charicature but really only Drawlight irritates - truly impressive for a production that is both fantasy and a costume drama. After all that Greysteel Drawlight dialogue only works so well because of the set up.
