It’s 8:08am. Brittany woke up to the sun shining through the sheer curtains of Santana’s bedroom. She looked at the brunette lying next to her - on her back, facing away from Brittany. She was wearing a white Hanes v-neck tee and black Calvin Klein boy short underwear. It was summer after all.
Brittany reveled in the beauty that slept before her. It was rare to see Santana like this - calm, at ease, relaxed, innocent… because really, the girl always put up a tough façade around people. It’s only Brittany who gets to see all the many emotions of Santana Lopez. She feels special for being one of few people in her life that could see a side of Santana that nobody knows.
Brittany couldn’t help herself. She lightly traced Santana’s exposed collarbone with her fingertips. She pressed a kiss on her neck. This caused the brunette to stir in her sleep. She unconsciously rolled on her side and faced Brittany, placing an arm around the blonde. Brittany smiled and settled into her girlfriend’s embrace. She closed her eyes and went back to sleep knowing that mornings like this are worth waking up to.
