I posted a parcel to the US on Friday, am I right in thinking it should get there approximately this coming Friday?

Sounds about right depending where it's going in the US and from where. I've had them arrive in a few days or in about 10, so it's not an exact science.

Thanks :) It's ages since I sent anything over and I wasn't sure if I was remembering correctly, lol.

Also depends how big or heavy it is too in my experience.

Not to big or heavy, but I sent it in a box instead of an envelope, omg, the postage was daft expensive for a box! *will use envelopes again in future* lol

10 days always seems to be about the norm whenever we've sent anything over... though it has been known to take 6 weeks...

Thanks :) From what I remember last time was about 7-10 days, but that was almost a year ago now.

6 weeks! I hope it doesn't take that long, lol.

I have usually had an average of 5/6 days when sending stuff at 'Small Packet' rate to an address in Massachusetts.

Did you send it by air or surface? Surface has always taken ours 5 weeks, but I've heard of 4-8 weeks. If by air, 5-10 days is about normal. It takes a little longer from the UK to the US than the other way. Expect it to take 3-4 days in the US sorting and delivery system once it lands. Coming from the US to the UK is faster because UK post is faster (smaller country and all that).

Send everything by airmail. Surface mail = a one legged donkey swimming across the atlantic. Be careful if you ever send anything via UPS or FEDEX, they will charge you a customs fee and there is no way of getting around not paying it either.
