Hi there, I did an acting postgrad in the UK and stayed after I finished because I met my husband here. I know of a lot of unis and drama schools that have mature students, but they do seem to be tokens. If you want to stay in the UK after completing a postgrad go to a drama school rather than a uni as there is still a lot of favouritism towards drama schools over unis in the world of agents and casting directors. However, it's very hard to get into a good drama school and they'd be less likely to take older students.

I'm in a bit of a rush at the moment, but if you want to chat about anything related to training and working in the UK, feel free!

I totally wouldn't mind being a token as long as I have access to the same opportunities that the rest of the kids ;-) get.

Ah, the eternal 'this would be better but is less likely to happen, but that is not as good, but more likely to happen' whirligig of fun.

Thanks for the tip; I'll toss you a line when I think anything. My brain is fried atm - new next-door neighbour had people over and kept me up till 4 am. sigh.
