I posted earlier, I thought, but I wasn't logged in. Hm. I remember I had...

"Relating to a Psychopath," Macy Gray.
"Waiting for the Great Leap Forwards," Billy Bragg.
"Some Weird Sin," Iggy Pop.
"Fuck Up Session #1," Beck.
"Fuck Up Session #2," Beck.

As bad of an idea as the first fuck-up session is, the second one is just so much worse.

Heh heh!

Right; it is almost forgivable to fuck up once. But to do it twice? Not sure that's as easy to let slide! :D

And I'm mad you thought of "Some Weird Sin" before I did. :P

Bad ideas abound on my ipod, therefore I must share. Hee!

Cemetery Party - Air
Break My Body - Pixies
Blister in the Sun - Violent Femmes
Kids with Guns - Gorillaz
Ain't Gonna Eat No More - The Coolies
Jump into the Fire - Harry Nilsson
Love For Sale - Talking Heads
Spit on a Stranger - Pavement
Poprocks & Coke - Green Day
Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun - Beastie Boys
Flip Your Wig - Husker Du
Didn't Leave Nobody but the Baby - Emmylou Harris
Always Crashing the Same Car - David Bowie
Moving to Florida - Butthole Surfers
Tell Me About Your Drugs - Robyn Hitchcock
A Shot in the Dark - Jimmie Haskell
and can't resist more Coolies...
"Crack Pipe (Burnin' My Hand)

Edited because, as usual, I am the Queen of Typos and anal retentive enough to let it bug me.

Eek, you know about the Coolies!

Awesome.

My friend Lake put on a mini-musical at Backdrop Gallery in Atlanta (back when it still existed) called DOUG! based on the Coolies double CD.

My boyfriend at the time was the Pussy Cook.

LOL

PUSSY COOK!! SPEAK TO MEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Man, I was so chuffed to finally get a copy of Doug after all these years. I saw the Coolies right after Doug came out - it was a crazy show, and, hands down, the most painfully loud show I've ever attended!

Boyfriend as Pussy Cook?? I do hope you memorialized such an occasion with a photo!

I don't think I did, but I could probably nab some from a friend or two when I go back to Atlanta.

I regret I wasn't more of a shutterbug back then. I've since become more keen on documenting my friends, activities and various comings and goings.

I'll put it this way... some tracks, PARTICULARLY hindi tracks, should not be translated, as concepts such as 'my father disapproves of my lover & has arranged for me to marry my cousin, so i'm going to kill myself' tent to not exactly be up there in the good idea stakes. ;)

That and I've got a lot of Arabian Emo. (not joking - let me know if you're interested in some. ;))

Is it roughly the same as American emo?

If so, thanks but no thanks. I can only take so much! LOL
