Well, just to play devil's advocate (indeed!) one might point out that in a country with a population of some 300 million, if you culled any significant demographic, you'd probably find enough unpleasant things to make a list this long.

It's possible the Democratic party has their share of skeletons in closets as well. Particularly when this list practically goes all the way down to "Republican dogcatcher".

Not that this lets ANY of them off the hook, mind you, but just because scumbags choose to be Republican for whatever reason, this does not automatically mean such scumbaggery is instantly condoned or party policy.

EDIT: Except that last one. THAT, frankly, makes the rest of them pale in comparison because it's government policy.

Of course there are transgressions to be found (understatement) in every political party, but the fact that the Republican party (in general) is so vociferous about morality and 'family values' is what makes the list of Repubs so relevant (and repugnant). Filthy hypocrites.

Just another reason why I support the Green Party. When we fuck up we don't get a light sentance due to our party afflication.
