I actually think his skin color helped him in this election.seikNovember 6 2008, 04:49:03 UTC
So basically he's asking conservatives not to sink to the same level of hatemongering the liberals have been exercising for the past 8 years.
Should we disagree with him if we think something else is best for the country? Absolutely. Question him on taxes, social security, national security, immigration, and the five hundred other issues out there. But to quote Ed Morrissey, "I love this country too much to do to President-Elect Obama what the left did to President Bush, John McCain and Sarah Palin. We're better than that."

Absolutely. Let's also see if he stays centrist or goes full on liberal here too. Because if he stays centrist, he'll probably be more managable to take.
Also, do you find it offensive that all of the political commentators on shows like MSNBC and CNN are talking about the Republican party like they've been defeated once and for all the way one defeats a mortal enemy? I'm a little bit disgusted. They get the presidency and win a few more seats in both houses and now it's like they completely control everything ever.

Oh, I've kinda come to grips with the popular demonisation of conservatives over the past 8 years, so the motif we've recently seen of the defeat of the Republican party didn't really seem just a whole lot worse.
