Justice, chapter 31

Sep 01, 2013 00:00

Hi there Justice Readers,

I thought my husband would never go to work and let me get on with this. It's very hard to concentrate when he's around, for reasons both good and bad. ;) Anyway, he finally took himself off, which meant I was able to finish making the adjustments that the betas had called for ( Read more... )

I rode a horse once when I was 12. It was outside my country. We don't have horses here. I kinda had to climb up steps to ride it. Then it went around in a circle... It wasn't fun. Now I really wanna ride a horse.

Awesome chapter! Ho ho go, Lonnie, I would love to slap you.

When is a NSFW chapter coming out? I'm sorry, I've been craving DeeRyo feels and reading some Josh Lanyon... Oh dear god.

Sadly there won't be an NSFW chapter for a while in this story. I guess I'd better make more of a push to finish the Karate one.

At least your horse only went around in a circle and didn't take off running with you clinging to its back! It is SO scary when that happens.

Yes, please slap Lonnie. He totally deserves (and needs) to be slapped. But then you should run and hide behind Dee because Lonnie can be dangerous. Dee will protect you!

Haha, I know horses similar to Bella, they are so cute and annoying at the same time! xD

Oh come on Bikky, you can't loose to a horse and a cat, that's lame! :D There really are many animals on this horse farm, right? Poor Bikky xD I wonder if he'll ever manage to ride Bella to New York...?

By the way, I'm glad you're back at writing! I'm totally looking forward to Dee and Ryo's conversation.

Oh, and before I forget: Karate! ;)

Uh-oh, she hit the Karate button! Okay, as soon as I get back from my coffee date, I'll write a couple hundred words on that one. Then I'll go to your LJ and report, just so you know I really did do it! It's probably the only way the readers will get a lemon anytime soon.

Ooooh~ Things are picking up speed!

I loved the bit with Ryo and Heather. Ryo's such a smart and capable detective, I tend to forget his adorable clueless side! And the part about Dee's thoughts towards their future was really interesting! I definitely see Ryo really embracing being a father as a part of his identity, but I never thought that there could possibly be another kid in their future!! :O Realistically, I could see it being pretty impossible to raise a young child when they both work so much, but I like indulging in the idea of the two of them raising a much younger kid together. In my opinion, the mental image of Dee or Ryo holding a toddler or pre-school-aged kid just doubles their hotness! And of course they would be great dads. : )

Oh, and I can't wait to see the conversation between Dee and Ryo about Ted!! You left me at the edge of my seat!

I left you on the edge of your seat? Yay! One of the things I didn't like about this chapter was that I felt it ended on a boring note. But maybe not! It will be an interesting conversation. Ryo is going to be shocked and alarmed when he finds out Ted knows about them.

Ryo is such a dad at heart, and ever since he lost his parents, he has really wanted to create a new family and have a family life. He sort of has an unusual one right now with Dee and Bikky, and by extension Carol, who is a kind of honorary member of their family, even though she lives with her aunt. I have always planned for Dee and Ryo to become parents together after Like Like Love. But you're right-- their work situations would have to be very different from the way they are now.

Bikky, what a trooper! It's not easy to get back on after so many falls, so I'll respect that. So true though, that tumbling off the back of a horseis nothing compared to wiping out on hard concrete skateboard ramps. As a native Texan, it's still very hard for me to comprehend that anyone could be afraid of a horse. Then again, after all these years, I've never actually fallen off one. Stay strong, Bik.

Lovin' D&R's extensive screen time this chap, I'd started to miss them. Don't get me wrong, I still love your soap opera style format that gives every character a fun plot, but these are our boys after all. And man, they played that detective well. Excellent mixture of friendly and forceful nudging, I applaud. And a handy eviction of that leech fielding. I hope Clayton wakes up before it is too late - he seems a decent guy. Too many people have died needlessly for these gangs and their stupid pet cops.

Peacewish! So sorry-- I just realized I never did respond to this review that you were kind enough to leave.

Bikky and I are both scared of horses, although he's braver than I am. I love horses, but from a safe distance. I think they're the second most beautiful animal on the planet, after the common house cat. The evolution of Mankind owes a lot to the horse. They're just so... big. And unfortunately, they can smell my fear!

Thank you for all your kind words!

Being a country kid I made a stab at owning a horse once. I talked my mother into letting me bid on the pretty quarter horse that was being offered at a school fundraiser. We got her for a spectacularly low bid. She was really gentle and quiet ( ... )

Oh no, that horse was so wrong for you. I wonder why she hated women? It's too bad you had to pay the price for whatever some unknown woman may have done to her.

I could probably get through a trail ride but I would have to remain on guard throughout and I don't think I'd enjoy it at all.
