I don't have any other sources for this but Ben Daniels has revealed via Twitter that he's going to be in a Merlin two-parter - he's currently learning his lines and growing facial hair for his role. He'll be playing Tristan but refused to reveal whether he's with Camelot or against it.

(He promised 'swordy' action and leather trousers... *thud*)
