Preamble

Recently the term "fascist" has been used several times in my hearing, in the media and yes, even in a reply on my journal.  I had been thinking about this term even before the journal reply and had spent some time researching its definition and current usage.  This will probably be the first of a series of political essays.  If you come ( Read more... )

Interesting reading but I did wonder if you meant "good voter" not "god voter". ;-)

Why yes, I did :-) I sometimes get to typing too fast...I had this written out longhand. Things like double vowels (and consonants for that matter) tend to get away from me when I'm typing from a draft.

So it occurred to me this morning on the way to work that I don't know if you are naturalized or not. Do you vote?

Honestly? I winced when I saw the topic of your post, then gradually relaxed as I read it. This is the first time in days that I've seen such a post that wasn't full of slurs and accusations that haven't been researched, personal attacks and general mean, mean things that no one should say about anyone else, no matter the political persuasion. I'm on the verge of saying goodbye to my flist until after the election, and then along you came with this...a breath of fresh air. Thanks.
