Pulitzer Prizes (or "Why I Don't Write Fiction")

Pulitzer Prizes were awarded today.  I'm always so impressed with the people who win them.  And that's why I haven't written fiction in years

I sit two desks away from a woman who was on the short list for the Features Writing Pulitzer... and of course we have other newspaper awards that come from time to time

Yeah...would have been nice if the professor had been more encouraging and/or taken the time to try to help the rest of us get enough better that the gap wasn't as intimidating. Or maybe help us try to get to a place where we could be good enough to enjoy our own writing (kind of like enjoying your own ability level doing agility, huh?!)
