Interesting.  I think FB is a little like passing notes in class.  It gives me a way to keep in superficial touch with people I know from around the world.  They are mostly beardie people that I've come to know either by meeting them at specialties or over email during the last 13 or so years.  And there are also a bunch of local agility and other ( Read more... )

Facebook conveys almost no meaningful information whatsoever. I am not a fan.

And I didn't say I was using it for meaningful information. OTOH, finding someone and then sending an email that does contain something more meaningful is quite nice.

I find Facebook silly, but I have been using it a little. I don't know who most of my Facebook friends are, though, I approve anyone who asks. It's mostly Stafford folk. I'm always surprised & pleased when a friend request turns out to be someone I actually know.

I find FB useful for seeing pictures of Rory's relatives without really needing to talk to the owners much:-)

Come to think of it, I use it the same way to keep loose contact with MY relatives. My older SIL and her daughters use it quite a bit. My brother, not so much.

The sibs' people aren't much for posting pics of their fluffheads, I'm afraid. I'm seeing lots of distant relatives though. Not enough stacked or moving shots for my taste unfortunately. And I'd like more video to be choosing future lines from :-)
