I feel stupid!

I got an email from the head of the BCCA (Bearded Collie Club of America) herding committee asking why, if Colton got his third herding started leg at the national, the AKC didn't recognize his title.  Well, turns out, I screwed up.  The third leg was under a judge we already had earned a leg under and you need legs from three

Blaze earned her MACh, or so I thought. We had 20 double Q's and more than enough points for 2 MACH's. We celebrated, had our MACH run got our fancy ribbon etc., ect. Then, the title never arrived. I contacted AKC and they said she only had 19 double Q's. Well.... Blaze is broken and I can't jump her at 20" anymore. I have tried rehabing her, but am very afraid of running her. AKC is wrong, she has 20 double Q's. I keep very good records of these things. I understand where you are coming from. I have decided to try and run her in the spring at some point to try and earn that last QQ. It sucks. I still tell people she has her MACh...because she does.

Wah! Poor you and Blaze. Well she doesn't know any more than Colton does. They just know we love the heck out of them. But this was totally my fault so I just feel bad. I don't think I'll try to get him ready again just to make ME feel better.
